Deutsch DTM06-12SA 12-Socket Receptacle Housing
The DTM06-12SA is a 12-cavity receptacle housing from Deutsch’s DTM (miniature) series, designed for reliable sealed connections in demanding installations. Engineered for 7.5A continuous current at 250V and operating temperatures from -55 °C to +125 °C, the housing accepts Size 20 solid contacts (sold separately) and is rated to IP68 for dust ingress and continuous water immersion.
Typical Applications
The 12-position configuration is commonly specified for multi-function switch assemblies in commercial vehicle cabs, as well as robotic and automated-guided-vehicle (AGV) control interface drops. Its combination of sealed construction and 7.5A continuous current capability makes it a versatile choice for both power and signal circuits.
Mating and Integration
The DTM06-12SA mates directly with the DTM04-12PA on the opposite harness side, providing a fully sealed in-line connection. Push-to-seat solid contacts are crimped to the wire, then inserted into the housing from the rear until they lock into the cavity. A secondary lock wedge (where applicable to the DTM (miniature) series cavity arrangement) provides positive contact retention.
Where It Is Deployed
The part is widely adopted across forestry forwarders, harvesters, and skid-steer equipment, as well as mining haul trucks, drilling equipment, and underground loaders. The IP68 sealed design tolerates engine-bay heat, under-chassis water splash, and chemical exposure typical of these environments.
Why Specify This Part
Specified by major OEMs in heavy equipment and commercial vehicles, the DTM (miniature) series is the industry benchmark for sealed rectangular interconnects.
