Deutsch DT06-2S-EP04 2-Socket Receptacle Housing
Engineered to Deutsch’s DT series specification, the DT06-2S-EP04 is a 2-position receptacle housing built for harsh-environment electrical interconnects. Engineered for 13A continuous current at 250V and operating temperatures from -55 °C to +125 °C, the housing accepts Size 16 solid contacts (sold separately) and is rated to IP68 for dust ingress and continuous water immersion.
Typical Applications
The 2-position configuration is commonly specified for low-current DC power feeds for position sensors, level switches, or auxiliary lamps, as well as engine block heaters, block-mounted senders, or basic on/off power drops. Its combination of sealed construction and 13A continuous current capability makes it a versatile choice for both power and signal circuits.
Mating and Integration
The DT06-2S-EP04 mates directly with the DT04-2P-E005 on the opposite harness side, providing a fully sealed in-line connection. Push-to-seat solid contacts are crimped to the wire, then inserted into the housing from the rear until they lock into the cavity. A secondary lock wedge (where applicable to the DT series cavity arrangement) provides positive contact retention.
Where It Is Deployed
Typical deployments include renewable-energy battery storage and utility-scale inverter cabinets, as well as agricultural tractors, combines, and planters. The IP68 sealed design tolerates engine-bay heat, under-chassis water splash, and chemical exposure typical of these environments.
Why Specify This Part
All housings are 100% dimensionally inspected to ensure proper mating with corresponding DT-series counterparts.
