1. What Is a Circular Connector?

A circular connector has a cylindrical shell and circular mating interface. The round shape distributes mating force evenly, provides inherent sealing (O-rings around the circumference), and allows a twist-lock or bayonet latching mechanism.

Threaded is the most secure — the nut provides mechanical locking that resists vibration and accidental disconnection. For heavy vibration (machinery, off-road), always choose threaded or bayonet.
